Through-hole LED are light emitting diode that attach to the circuit board using two long wires. The bonds that are created between the through-hole LEDs or other through-hole electronic components and circuit board are far stronger than the surface mount LEDs.
Through-hole LED have 8 common types, such as, Tower LED, Round LED, Cylindrical LED, Rectangular LED, Oval LED, Superflux LED, Multi-Color LED, LED Circuit Boards indicator.
Tower LED
Tower LEDs are ideal for a variety of instrumentation, switch, icon backlighting, and general status indication applications. There are 3 different technology chip packaged tower LEDs, among which GaP technology chips are suitable for low brightness application requirements, while AlInGaP and InGaN technologies are suitable for high brightness applications.
Round LED
Round LEDs are suitable for all backlighting and status indication applications. The application of LEDs in consumer electronics and automotive interiors will make customers’ products more distinctive. Oval LED
Oval LEDs is specially designed for applications such as full-color display screens, dynamic information boards and advertising signs. Compared with conventional standard LED products, the LED with oval light emitting mode not only expands the viewing angle, but also enhances the brightness. The oval LED is especially suitable for outdoor display applications that require clear and readable sunlight.
Superflux LED
High Brightness Piranha LEDs are LEDs in a 4-pin square package, are available in green, red, yellow, white, blue, orange and RGB full-color options.
Multi-Color LED
Multi-color LEDs are suitable for various instruments, switches, icon backlighting and status indication, among other applications.
LED Circuit Boards indicator
The Assembled LED is a black plastic device that houses a Light Emitting Diode. Assembled LEDs have a variety of packaging structures, including top-emission (combined with spacer columns) assembled LEDs and vertically or horizontally arranged assembled LEDs that are easy to install.
